Wow!  Time flies.  It certainly doesn't feel like December but as the weather begins to change the snow will soon fly! This time of year marks the beginning of Advent which began on Sunday November 29 and continues to Christmas day. Advent is so much more than a delicious chocolate calendar counting down the days until Christmas.  Advent comes from Latin and means “coming;” its purpose is “to look forward to the coming of Christ - Jesus is coming".  We are a people who wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. Advent is such a joyful time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is this faith, our faith, that brings us together as a community.  As we celebrate our faith this season, we would ask you to join us for our Advent Mass this Thursday Dec. 3rd at 9:30am.

Some important dates for your calendar - Advent Mass Dec 3rd, School Council meeting Dec 8th, Christmas shopping day/SEAS 4 Change bake sale - Dec 9th.  And something new this year, our Christmas Sing-a-long!  We welcome parents and family to join us on Dec. 18th at 1:15pm in the gym.  As a community we will bring our fall term to a close and celebrate together.  Each grade will be responsible for leading a song.  Also, many classes will be celebrating in their own classrooms with invitations to parents. Please watch your child's agenda and class websites for further information.  We look forward to seeing everyone at our celebrations!

Please note that Dec. 18th is the last day of school.  School will resume on January 4th.
