New Barrhaven South School - New opening date and temporary accommodation plan

The New Barrhaven South Elementary School was planned to be opened for September 2023. Unfortunately, due to delays in the delivery of steel joists, the building will not be opened until January 2024.

In September 2023, students in grades JK-5 who reside within the new school's approved boundary and the new school's staff will be temporarily accommodated until the planned opening of the school in January 2024.

September 2023- January 2024

January 2024
All Kindergarten to Grade 5 staff and students will all relocate to the new school upon opening.  Classes and teachers will remain the same.

Grade 6 students will remain at their current school for the 2023-2024 school year.  New Barrhaven South ES grade 6 students who are new registrations would be directed to attend either St. Benedict ES or St. Cecilia ES for the 2023-2024 school year, based on place of residence and 2022-2023 attendance boundaries.

Reverse Advent Calendar

This year, we will be supporting  “Belong”. It is a not for profit association offering programs that address basic needs and foster dignity, wellness and hope for all.
